In recognition of CPR Awareness Week, DER II Foundation will be hosting a CPR/AED training class at Daniel E. Rumph II Recreation Center (Johnson St and Morton St) on Wednesday, June 4, 2008 from 6:00 pm to 9:00pm.

On behalf of the DER II Foundation and Youth Heart Watch, we would like to thank everyone who participated in our Inaugural Golf Tournament and Luncheon. The turnout was great and everyone had a great time! A special thanks goes out the ALL of our sponsors for making it a great tournament.
We want to give an extremely special thanks to our honored guest, Mike Quick, former All-Pro Wide-Receiver for the Philadelphia Eagles, for making time to bless us with his presence. To all the winners, we send a big congratulations out to you. Thanks to Springfield Country Club for being such a great host.
We hope to see everyone back next year to help us raise money for Sudden Cardiac Arrest!

DER II Foundation Community Cookout will also be held on Saturday.

Daniel E. Rumph II Basketball Tournament

I would like to thank everyone for coming out to enjoy the 3rd annual Daniel E. Rumph Basketball Tournament. We could not have done it without all of the volunteers who gave up 4 days of their summer to help make our tournament the best basketball event in Philadelphia.
This year we took the tournament to another level, and I look forward to reaching an even higher level next year. I would like to offer a special thanks to POWERade, Summit Sports Training Center, Dawan Robinson, and Steve Smith for helping us continue in our pursuit of "Saving the Next Bright Star". Lastly, I would like to thank all of the basketball players who came out to support the DERII Foundation.

DER II Foundation will be hosting its 5th annual Fish Fry at Roy’s Comfort Zone. Come join us for GREAT Food, Dancing and Networking. Roy’s Comfort zone is located at Broad St and Hunting Park. This is one of our signature fundraisers.

DER II Foundation will be hosting its 3rd annual Thanksgiving Basket give away. Each year we provide 10-15 baskets to deserving families in our community. We would like to encourage everyone to donate food, canned goods, or other non-perishable items. All goods donated should be brought to the Daniel E. Rumph II Recreation Center at Johnson St and Morton St in the Mt. Airy section of the city.

DER II Foundation will host its 3rd Annual Christmas Party. DER II Foundation gives kids in our community a Christmas Party with food, drinks, and gifts each year. Many kids in our community are deserving of a happy Christmas, and DER II Foundation is committed to providing happiness to the children in our community.
