DER II Foundation will be partnering with CPAT Network Foundation and Youth Heart Watch Foundation in providing free CPR/AED Training Certification at the Wachovia Spectrum. DERII Foundation will be honoring Dr. Victoria Vetter, Chief Cardiologist at Childrens Hospital of Philadelphia, and Rachel Moyer, President of Parent Heart Watch Foundation at their 2nd Annual Dinner Gala. We will also award a $500.00 scholarship to a deserving student attending college.
Come help DER II Foundation raise money to place AED programs into Philadelphia Recreation Centers and help get underprivileged kids screened for Sudden Cardiac Arrest. For more information about the Dinner Gala invitations, please contact Candy Owens at 215-438-4168.

The NBC 10 FIT FEST was a huge success for the DER II FOUNDATION and CPAT NETWORK FOUNDATION. We certified over 80 people at the NBC 10 Fit Fest over the entire weekend. DER II Foundation would like to thank everyone who came out the get certified (Students from BOK High School, Youth Program at the Franklin Institute and the Kids from KIDSZONE). Daniel E. Rumph II Foundation will be hosting a fish fry fundraiser at Roys Comfort Zone, Broad and Hunting Park from 3:00p.m. to 7:00p.m.
Admission is $10.00 for a fish platter and two side orders. Free beer is available.

Free CPR training for teens. This training will take place at Kidzone Philadelphia, 7157 Ogontz Avenue, from 3:30p.m. to 7:00p.m. This training will:
- Award a letter of participation
- Certify teenagers in CPR and AED
- Give teenagers a sense of confidence and help build self-esteem

To receive an official certification card, a $5.00 fee will apply. (However, fee is not contingent upon participation).

The Daniel E. Rumph II Foundation recognized Health Partners and Health Partners Foundation as the sponsor of the Hank Gathers Recreation Center AED program through a special plaque unveiling ceremony. In attendance was Bill George, President of Health Partners, Barry Scott, Director of Risk Management City of Philadelphia, Joseph Ferraro, Director of Hank Gathers Rec Ctr, Joe Russell, President of CPAT Network Foundation, Viola Owens, Chairperson of DER II Foundation and Marcus Owens, President of DER II Foundation.
The DER II Foundation has placed AED programs into three different recreation centers in the Philadelphia. They will be placing two more AED programs in District 1 and District 8 in February 2007.
